On December 29, 2011, the 2012 Officers of Star Lodge will be installed and your attendance is earnestly requested. Dinner will be at 6:00 PM and the Installation will begin at 7:30 PM.

At our stated communication on December 5, 2011, the brethren of Star Lodge No. 78 elected our officers for 2012. Bro. Michael O’Roake was elected Worshipful Master, Bro. John Smith was elected Senior Warden, W:. Steve Buskirk, PM was elected Junior Warden, R:.H:. Roy Terepka, PDI was re-elected Treasurer, and R:.W:. J. Paul Stellrecht, PDDGM was re-elected Secretary. Congratulations go to these brothers and to the lodge for choosing their leadership for the next year!

BBQ Dinner to Benefit the Building Fund – 12/04/11

The work on the roof has finally started! However, we have depleted the building fund to complete the work. While this was necessary to keep our facility in good order, we need your support to continue to improve Star Lodge for us and our tenants.

On December 4, 2011, the Lodge will be putting on a Barbeque dinner at the lodge at 4:00 PM. A whole hog will be cooked, with BBQ Chicken, and all of the fixins. Suggested donation for this dinner will be $10.00. All of the proceeds for this dinner will go back to the Star Lodge Building Fund!

Master Mason Degree – September 26, 2011

Brothers, the Worshipful Master has called a Called Communication of Star Lodge on September 26, 2011 for the purpose of raising Bro. Dick Richards to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. As usual, we will be having a dinner beforehand at 6:30 PM and the Degree to follow starting at 7:30 PM. All Master Masons are invited to attend. Our Brother Senior Warden, Mike O’Roake will be serving in the east the first half, and R:. W:. Chas Jordan, DDGM of the 21st Masonic District will serve in the East the second half. We hope you can attend!

Pancake Breakfast – Sunday, September 11, 2011

It’s that time again! We are serving your favorites for Breakfast at Star Lodge No. 78. Come have some Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Pancakes, and all of the fixins for just $4.00 a person! These funds help to offset the burden of dues onto our Brothers and help to maintain the lodge’s financial status throughout the year, so even if you are unable to attend, we hope you can contribute! Breakfast starts at 8:00 AM and goes on through Noon. We hope to see you there!

Bro. Clyde Allen Receives his 50 Year Pin and Certificate!

At the Stated Meeting of Star Lodge on August 1, 2011, the Worshipful Master, Don Feaster had the distinct honor to present Bro. Clyde Allen, a member of the Grand Lodge of Missouri, A.F.&A.M. in Independence, MO., his 50 year service award. It is a great accomplishment for a Master Mason to have been a member for 50 years and the brothers of Star Lodge were honored to share this experience with Bro. Allen and congratulate him on this achievement!

On Monday Night, July 25, 2011, four brothers gave back their Master Mason Catechism to the Lodge and proved suitable proficiencies. In honor of this achievement, the Worshipful Master requested R:. W:. Chas Jordan, Past Master and District Deputy Grand Master of the 21st Masonic District to perform the Apron Presentation set out in our Monitor. We congratulate these brothers for their achievement!

The brothers who gave back their catechisms were: Bro. John Smith, Senior Deacon; Bro. Ed McMichael, Senior Steward; Bro. Jack Berthy; and Bro. David C. Hook.
